Overview

The Joint Operations Center supports two primary directorates, the AD-CS Directorate and the Assistant Director (AD), Healthcare Operations (HCO) Directorate and ultimately the Director, Defense Health Agency. This is accomplished through staff integration, knowledge management, crisis response coordination, and Combat Support Agency (CSA) mission implementation. The JOC serves as the focal point of information flow into DHA from external commands then disseminated throughout the organization, down to the markets and back up to various higher headquarters. The DHA JOC is the centerpiece for planning, coordination, and synchronization of daily operations in relation to combat medical support to the military departments and combatant commands, as well as healthcare operations within military treatment facilities (MTF) providing synergy for effective and efficient mission accomplishment in support of the DHA, Joint Staff (JS), Combatant Commands (CCMDs), Services and the Military Health System (MHS) enterprise. The Operations Team Lead is the primary interface to the Government client for all matters about contract execution and service delivery and manages the contractor team.  Additionally, will be responsible for oversight of the overall schedule, performance of work and quality of client deliverables. The Operations Team Lead or alternate shall have full authority to act for the contractor on all contract matters relating to daily operation of this contract. Performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the Core Values of Cayuse.

 

Responsibilities

  • Ensures compliance with program policies.
  • Leads the team in producing and reviewing high-quality deliverables in a time-critical environment.
  • Manages contractor recruitment and staffing requirements.
  • Manages scheduling of contractor staff to ensure proper shift coverage.
  • Management and development of support services/personnel.
  • Management and development of contractor staff training.
  • Meets with the client regularly to discuss performance, propose initiatives, and establish priorities.
  • Provides briefings, communications, and various reports to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Provide support as directed to DHA incident management operations at the CISA Crisis Action Team (CAT) and Regional Offices or Operations. The Contractor shall be required to provide surge personnel and support to augment 24 hours a day/7 days a week (24/7) incident management operations on an as-needed basis.
  • Develops strategy and dictates direction.
  • The primary point of contact for interfacing with the government management.
  • Responsibility for overall quality control of products and maintaining required staffing levels through careful scheduling.
  • Determine the project organization and the overall management required to accomplish the work.
  • Be available between, 6:00 a.m. to 8:00p.m. EST, Sunday thru Saturday.
  • Attend/complete required training in accordance with guiding instructions.
  • Adhere to HIPPA guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5-10 years’ experience in DoD/Military Health System organization, planning, and operational execution management
  • Operational planning AQD JS7 is preferred
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Products.
  • Familiar with military and medical reporting systems for data collection, and information flow, and JOPES Vol. II
  • Think strategically while able to execute operational and tactical requirements.
  • Ability to provide long range deliberate and contingency planning, excellent communication skills, and possess the ability to work with multiple functional areas and levels of expertise
  • Active Security Clearance
  • Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.

  • Close attention to detail required with ability to process and apply diverse and complex amounts of data
  • Ability to use logical and creative thought processes
  • Ability to lead and manage a team of diverse individuals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

 

Reports to: Managing Director of Cayuse Government Services

 

Working Conditions

  • Professional office environment
  • Must be physically and mentally able to perform duties for extended periods of time. Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed to meet the demands of this position.
  • Must be able to establish a productive and professional workspace.
  • Must be able to work varying work schedules and/or extended hours to meet business needs and project deadlines.
  • May be asked to travel for business or professional development purposes.

Pay Range

USD $105,000.00 - USD $114,000.00 /Yr.
