Department: Diagnostic Services / Radiology

Position Type: Full-Time - Travel - Must live at least 70 miles away

Pay Details: Pay rate includes Per Diem/Lodging

Shift: Various Shifts Available (Day, Evening, Night)

Responsibilities:

• Performs quality ultrasound examinations.
• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology sufficient to be able to position and monitor patients and obtain appropriate images.
• Skills in interpreting and applying written guidelines, precedents, and work practices to standardized work situations or specific cases.
• Skill in using ultrasound equipment. Understands and can reasonably troubleshoot all necessary equipment and ensures notification of appropriate personnel when problems occur.
• Skill in establishing and maintaining effective relationships with other employees.
• Ensures the integrity of data for clinic elements, demographics, billing information for physician reports.
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

• Sonography education, training, and experience in the specialty area(s) to be performed.
• Ultrasound experience in general (breast, vascular, and obstetrics imaging).
• Demonstrated competence in the specialty area(s) to be performed.
  American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART), and/or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Proficiency with computer skills and software programs used for documentation activities and report generation required.
• Ability to perform other duties is a plus (CT, MRI, Gen Rad, etc.).
• Knowledge of how to address age-specific care needs of patients.
• Preferably 1 year of professional work experience in performing ultrasound imaging studies. Must be comfortable working independently.
