Job Summary:  The NOC Analyst will be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and ensuring the smooth operation of our client’s network infrastructure. This includes identifying and resolving network issues, ensuring system availability, and responding to incidents in a timely and efficient manner. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of network protocols, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Duties:

• Monitor network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and servers to ensure maximum uptime and reliability.
• Identify and resolve network issues, including performance problems, outages, and security incidents.
• Provide initial triage and troubleshooting of network alerts, escalating issues to senior engineers or management as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of network incidents, including problem resolution and service restoration.
• Collaborate with IT teams to perform routine network maintenance, software updates, and patches.
• Perform regular health checks and assessments of network systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Respond to incoming network service requests, ensuring timely resolution.
• Analyze network performance data and generate reports for management.
• Document and update network processes, procedures, and configurations to ensure consistent operational standards.
• Provide on-call support as required for after-hours network issues or emergencies.
• Assist in the configuration and installation of network hardware and software.

Education / Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred).

Technical Knowledge

• 1-3 years of experience in a network operations or technical support role (preferred).
• Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, etc.).
• Experience with monitoring tools and software (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, Zabbix, etc.).
• Proficient in troubleshooting network issues and using diagnostic tools.
• Familiarity with firewalls, load balancers, and other network security devices.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Knowledge of cloud-based networking (AWS, Azure, Goggle, etc.).
• Cisco or CompTIA Network+ certification is a plus.

Working Conditions:

• Shift work may be required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• On-call availability for urgent network incidents.
