Primary Focus

The Master Electrician & Maintenance Technician (Senior) shall be responsible for proficient, dependable, and cost-effective operations and maintenance services based on industry best practices, manufacturer’s recommendations, applicable codes and standards and existing site conditions. All duties and responsibilities performed in accordance with the Core Values of Cayuse.

 

Responsibilities

  • Primary Responsibilities:
    • Electrical Power Distribution: Provide operation, maintenance, preventative maintenance, and repair services for: - Interior and exterior building electrical distribution systems. - Components including switchgear, circuit breakers, distribution panels, sub-panels, backup generators, transfer switches, load banks, disconnects, receptacles, switches, raceways, and conductors.
    • Interior and Exterior Lighting: Responsible for the operation, maintenance, preventative maintenance, and repair of: - Building interior and exterior lighting systems. - Fixtures, bulbs, lighting controls, photo sensors, motion sensors, and time clocks.
  • Secondary Responsibilities
    • May include (general) Non-Specialized Building Maintenance support, assisting with non-specialized building maintenance as needed without compromising primary duties:
      • Basic Carpentry: Repair and replace carpentry areas including floors, walls, ceilings, finishes, security door hardware, foundations, waterproofing seals, flashing, and temporary roof repairs.
      • Maintain interior and exterior finishes, trim, and decor to match existing.
      • Interior Floors and Floor Coverings: Repair or replace damaged flooring, sub-flooring to meet building standards. - Carpeted Flooring: Repair damaged carpet, install transition strips, tighten loose carpeting, and repair seams to match or fix existing carpeting.
      • Concrete Floors/Walls: Patch cracked, broken, or spalled areas.
      • Interior Walls, Ceilings, Doors, and Trim: Repair or replace damaged walls, ceilings, doors, and trim to match the surrounding surfaces.
      • Exterior Walls: Restore damaged or deteriorated wall areas to a serviceable, watertight, and weather-tight condition.
      • Painting: Prepare surfaces and apply primer, intermediate, and finish coats as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of direct and relevant US Embassy experience to listed responsibilities demonstrating mastery of the requisite skills to achieve objectives.
  • Eligibility to earn an overseas driver’s license, no suspended or revoked driving privileges.
  • Top Secret Clearance Required.
  • Selected applicant/s will be required to undergo the mandatory medical testing before the start of work.
  • Ability to obtain appropriate entry visa & work permit.
  • Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.

  • Self-starter with the ability to learn new tasks and skills.

  • Ability to multitask and have practical time management skills.

  • Strong work ethic accountability.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Near East U.S. Department of State (Embassy) experience preferred
  • Knowledge of regulations governing the facilities management support required to support Embassy operations.
  • Ability to provide leadership and work effectively, cooperatively, and harmoniously in a multi-disciplinary team environment under considerable stress and tight deadlines, and with minimal supervision in meeting demands associated with a high profile, results-driven activity.

  • Industrial maintenance environment with adherence to Embassy occupational and facilities safety regulations.
  • Must be physically and mentally able to perform duties for extended periods of time. Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed to meet the demands of this position.

  • Polished office protocols, high-tempo communication streams and working conditions.
  • Must be able to work varying work schedules and/or extended hours to meet business needs and project deadlines.
  • May be asked to travel for business or professional development purposes.

USD $55.00 - USD $65.00 /Yr.
