Overview

The Operational Readiness Planner for Training and Evaluation works closely with the Program Manager, Operations Manager and Federal Quality Assurance and Quality Control Branch Chief to support, and maintain work instructions, checklists, training and testing material, and conduct some of the operational analysis functions. May be required to serve as relief personnel for 24/7 watch operations in the event of increased operational tempo.

Responsibilities

The Operational Readiness Planner will be responsible for a variety of the following tasks:

  • Develop, update and maintain products to include Work Instructions, Standard Operating Procedures, material for standardization of operations procedures, workflows and briefings.
  • Work closely with the customer to review, update and maintain documentation relating to operational readiness.
  • Continuously improve customer business processes by identifying pain points and re-engineering the business process for maximum efficiency.
  • Develop various reporting and metrics tracking tools that leverage automation and workflow  capabilities.
  • May serve as primary speaker for all SharePoint tasks assigned.
  • Participate in operational planning teams and the development of Continuity of Operations Plans.
  • Processes to integrate all-hazards approach to information and intelligence information sharing.
  • Consolidation of existing products and development of templates.
  • SharePoint (SP) Site Collection, development and maintenance to include providing access and permissions.
  • May be required to provide surge support to augment 24 hours a day / 7 days a week (24/7) incident management operations on an as needed basis.
  • Function as a member of the Emergency Relocation Group (ERG) as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline such as Homeland Security or Business, or a combination of education, technical training and equivalent experience.
  • Additional (2) two years of experience may be substituted with an Associate’s degree.
  • Additional (4) four years of military and/or operations environment experience may be substituted with a high school diploma.
  • Must have between zero (0) and two (2) years of related experience.
  • Experience in at least two of the following areas that support operational readiness of a program:
    • Training of existing staff on requirements and changes associated with operational procedures.
    • Developing, updating, and maintaining products to include Standard Operating Procedures, Operating Instructions, material for standardization of operations procedures, workflows and briefings.
    • Development of documentation to ensure the operational readiness of a program to include:
      • Processes to integrate all-hazards approach to information and intelligence information sharing.
      • Consolidation of existing products and development of templates.
      • SharePoint site collection, configuration and maintenance to include providing access and permissions to Sharepoint.
  • Active TOP SECRET/SCI Clearance and DHS Fitness.
  • Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and assess a vast amount of highly technical information in a time constrained environment.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office 365; including but not limited to: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and other general software applications.
  • Proficiency in PowerApps, PowerAutomate, PowerBI
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-intensity work environment.
  • Ability to produce high quality results under tight deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Pay Range

USD $98,000.00 - USD $102,000.00 /Yr.
