The Work:
As an Exercise Planner, you will play a key role in developing, planning, and executing complex military exercises that support both Component and Joint operations. Your primary responsibility will be to manage the full lifecycle of these exercises, from conceptualization through execution and assessment, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and multi-domain operational objectives. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) phases, the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP), Army Design Methodology (ADM), and Joint Planning Process (JPP) to create comprehensive exercise plans. You’ll work closely with senior leadership to provide in-depth briefings and actionable
recommendations, contributing to mission-critical training and readiness operations.
The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in exercise planning and a deep understanding of joint and multinational operations. You should be adept in using systems such as JTIMS and ARTIMS for managing training information and familiar with the nuances of budgeting and resource allocation across multi-funding streams. This position requires travel (up to 20%) and a commitment to delivering results in high-visibility scenarios, often with minimal supervision.
