Overview

The Network Operations Center Analyst will be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and ensuring the smooth operation of our client’s network infrastructure. This includes identifying and resolving network issues, ensuring system availability, and responding to incidents in a timely and efficient manner. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of network protocols, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and servers to ensure maximum uptime and reliability.
  • Identify and resolve network issues, including performance problems, outages, and security incidents.
  • Provide initial triage and troubleshooting of network alerts, escalating issues to senior engineers or management as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of network incidents, including problem resolution and service restoration.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to perform routine network maintenance, software updates, and patches.
  • Perform regular health checks and assessments of network systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Respond to incoming network service requests, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Analyze network performance data and generate reports for management.
  • Document and update network processes, procedures, and configurations to ensure consistent operational standards.
  • Provide on-call support as required for after-hours network issues or emergencies.
  • Assist in the configuration and installation of network hardware and software.
  • Contributes to the accomplishments of team objectives; works collaboratively as a team member towards solutions; solicits input from other team members; demonstrates respect for the ideas and opinions of others; employs trust and openness.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through follow-up and special efforts.
  • Assist new employees with training through shadowing opportunities and explanation of work process.

Qualifications

Here’s What You Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred).
  • 1-3 years of experience in network operations or technical support role (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, etc.).
  • Experience with monitoring tools and software (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, Zabbix, etc.).
  • Proficient in troubleshooting network issues and using diagnostic tools.
  • Familiarity with firewalls, load balancers, and other network security devices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based networking (AWS, Azure, Goggle, etc.).
  • Cisco or CompTIA Network+ certification is a plus
  • Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment

Working Conditions

  • Professional office environment
  • Shift work may be required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • On-call availability for urgent network incidents.
  • Must be physically and mentally able to perform duties for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed to meet the demands of this position.
  • Must be able to work varying work schedules and/or extended hours to meet business needs and project deadlines.
  • May be asked to travel for business or professional development purposes.

Pay Range

USD $58,000.00 - USD $95,000.00 /Yr.
