Minimum Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor of Science degree in technical or business discipline desired
Minimum Experience Requirements:
- Eight years documented experience in tactical military aircraft as an aviator
- Five years directing/managing training in electronic warfare, weapons delivery, training range operations, or tactics development and evaluation programs
- Operational experience on the Fallon Tactical Training Range and familiarity with airspace management/control highly desirable
- Eight years as a Fallon Range Control Officer may be substituted and used as qualification for this position
- Must be skilled in both verbal and written communication in English
Minimum Position-Specific Training Required:
- Documented military training and experience may be substituted for education and management experience requirements
- Completion of FTTR orientation training
- Completion of RCO Job Qualification Standards (JQS) within 180 days of employment assignment
- Quality Assurance training
- Possess a valid state Driver’s License
Citizenship and Security Clearance Requirements:
- US Citizen
- Obtain and maintain the appropriate level of clearance
Certification Requirements:
Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:
- Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds, constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.
- Routine travel to remote site facilities may be involved.
