SALARY:

$38.88 - $55.54 per hour

 

The QA Engineer Automated 3 is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications through automated testing processes. The role involves designing, developing, and executing robust automated test suites to identify defects, validate application functionality, and report testing metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, execute, and maintain robust automated test suites using industry-standard tools (e.g., UFT or similar platforms).
  • Collaborate within Agile and CI/CD environments to ensure comprehensive testing during rapid development cycles.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive test plans, requirements traceability matrices, and test case documentation.
  • Identify, track, and manage defects to closure while maintaining open communication with development teams and project managers.
  • Utilize JIRA or similar tools for defect tracking, test tracking, and sprint management.
  • Write and optimize database queries using SQL/PL-SQL to support backend testing of database-driven applications.
  • Create detailed reports on testing metrics, defects, and project status, ensuring thorough documentation and accountability.
  • Apply programming and scripting languages such as JavaScript, Python, or Visual Basic to enhance test automation frameworks.
  • Design and execute performance, stress, and regression testing to ensure application reliability across multiple platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of testing processes into the development lifecycle.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Here’s What You Need

  • 8 years Strong verbal and written skills in communicating with peers and different levels of users.
  • 8 years Strong background in developing test suites in UFT or similar tool.
  • 8 years Skilled with Database query languages (SQL, PL/SQL)
  • Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • 6 years Skilled in developing Requirements Traceability Matrices.
  • 6 years Skilled in developing and executing Test Scripts.
  • 6 years Skilled in developing Test Plans and coordinating User Acceptance Testing.
  • 6 years’ experience with general IT SDLC processes.
  • 4 years’ experience using JIRA for managing project/sprint tasks.
  • 4 years Working in a Agile SDLC environment.
  • 4 years’ experience using Jira to track work assignments.
  • 1 year experience working on projects utilizing agile project management methodologies.

Reports to: Program Manager

 

Working Conditions

  • Professional hybrid office environment.
  • Ability to work on-site in Austin, TX.
  • 3 days remote with 2 days (Mon & Tues) required to be onsite.
  • Must be physically and mentally able to perform duties extended periods of time.
  • Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed to meet the demands of this position.
  • Must be able to establish a productive and professional workspace.
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time looking at computer screen.
  • May be asked to work a flexible schedule which may include holidays.
  • May be asked to travel for business or professional development purposes.
  • May be asked to work hours outside of normal business hours.
