Overview

The Engagement Director serves as the primary point of contact between the Implementation Support vendor and HCMACS Program leadership to resolve escalations, fulfill contracted staffing obligations, and optimize service delivery. This position requires a proven leader who can manage multi-agency collaboration efforts, including the integration of complex technical and clinical systems across a diverse set of federal, state, and community stakeholders.

 

The Engagement Director plays a pivotal role in fostering successful relationships with program executives and ensuring alignment with Washington State’s mission to improve health care management and coordination solutions for underserved populations, particularly Medicaid beneficiaries and Tribal communities, through the Epic Systems Electronic Health Record (EHR) platform.

 

This position performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of Cayuse.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic oversight for all contracted Implementation Support services under the HCMACS Program.
  • Serve as the primary liaison to HCMACS Program leadership and governance for escalations and overall engagement performance.
  • Oversee planning and deployment of contracted resources to fulfill leadership roles and specialized consulting support.
  • Ensure alignment of staffing services with program milestones, timelines, and strategic goals.
  • Maintain accountability for vendor performance, onboarding, and compliance.
  • Manage any subcontractor relationships and ensure all personnel meet HCMACS standards.
  • Collaborate with HCA and agency stakeholders to anticipate staffing needs and proactively mitigate support risks.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 10 years of experience leading large-scale EHR implementations, including oversight of staffing and vendor delivery teams.
  • 5 years of experience with Epic Community Connect or comparable multi-entity deployment models.
  • Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.

Minimum Skills:

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate in a clear, professional, and articulate manner.
  • Strong knowledge of Epic implementation methodologies and the functional/clinical value they deliver.
  • Proven executive communication and relationship management skills, particularly with public sector or healthcare leadership.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high-level attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast past environment with changing priorities; adaptable to change and a quick learner.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work well independently as well as on a multi-functional team.
  • Proficient in MS Office, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Working Conditions

Pay Range

USD $170,000.00 - USD $225,000.00 /Yr.
