The Work

The Solutions Architect, Implementation Support, is a key technical leadership role responsible for the design and alignment of solution architecture for the Health Care Management and Coordination System (HCMACS) Program.

 

The Solutions Architect will lead the technical design of integrated systems, ensuring alignment with statewide IT standards, interoperability frameworks, and the program’s strategic goals. This role will guide the development and deployment of solutions by overseeing data flow architecture, integration technologies, and technical standards for the program’s use of the Epic Systems EHR platform and its supporting infrastructure. Collaboration with key stakeholders, including agency IT teams, Tribal partners, external vendors, and third-party service providers, is critical to ensuring the solution architecture meets the program’s evolving needs.

 

This position performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of Cayuse.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain solution architecture for EHR and integrated systems.
  • Ensure system interoperability, scalability, and alignment with state standards.
  • Lead technical design for integrations, middleware, and data exchange (e.g., HL7, FHIR).
  • Collaborate with Data Architects and infrastructure teams for comprehensive planning.
  • Support technical documentation, deployment pipelines, and compliance. Facilitate interagency technology collaboration and scalability planning.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications – Here’s What You Need

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 7 years of experience in solution architecture and healthcare systems.
  • Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.

Minimum Skills:

  • Experience with Epic integrations and state healthcare IT systems.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps, and cloud-based deployment models.
  • Strong understanding of data exchange protocols and interoperability standards. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high-level attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast past environment with changing priorities; adaptable to change and a quick learner.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work well independently as well as on a multi-functional team.
  • Proficient in MS Office, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Working Conditions

  • Professional remote office environment.
