The Enterprise Architect III is responsible for designing systems, applications, and processes that align with client business needs, specifically for very large and complex technical solutions. This role translates business and non-functional requirements into detailed and integrated technical architectures. The Enterprise Architect III plays a pivotal role in technology selection, roadmaps, and the evaluation of Cloud solutions (e.g., SaaS and custom-built platforms) as well as on-premises vendor products. Leveraging industry-leading expertise, the role ensures that solutions meet benchmarks for scalability, risk mitigation, and financial efficiency, while aligning with client expectations and organizational standards.

Responsibilities

  • Translate client business and non-functional requirements into technical architectures for complex and large-scale solutions.
  • Analyze customer service needs and design tailored service solutions to meet objectives.
  • Construct specific solutions, including scope documents, risk assessments, and financial models, ensuring alignment with organizational best practices.
  • Design solutions that encompass process workflows, technology integrations, and staffing plans.
  • Develop Statements of Work (SOWs) or other key documents using automation tools for technical services, ensuring deliverables specify processes, staffing, project management, and technology components.
  • Participate in the development of detailed financial models that align with high-complexity service proposals.
  • Lead risk management activities by constructing risk-profiles and recommending risk remediation plans for proposed services.
  • Maintain a detailed knowledge base of internal services and industry-leading solutions, including expertise in Cloud solutions (e.g., SaaS platforms, custom-built Cloud services).
  • Evaluate and recommend on-premises vendor products and services aligned with customer requirements.
  • Play an advisory role for technology selection and roadmaps, ensuring solutions meet scalability, security, and usability requirements.
  • Adhere to all organizational Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), including those for cost modeling, approvals, and reviews.
  • Serve as a trusted expert advisor and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for internal and external stakeholders, providing guidance through formal presentations and consultation
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Here’s What You Need

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in Enterprise Architecture for Cloud-Based Systems.
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise application development in Java and/or .Net.
  • Demonstrable expertise in financial modeling and creating detailed architecture documentation
  • Advanced knowledge of designing and implementing complex Cloud solutions (custom-built and SaaS)., Excellent knowledge of enterprise system workflows, technology ecosystems, and architectural frameworks.
  • Proficiency in developing detailed SOWs, risk assessments, and financial models., Strong working knowledge of automation tools for architecture documentation and modeling.
  • Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Solutions Architect., TOGAF or similar enterprise architecture frameworks certification., 5+ years of experience with Azure Cloud Solutions.
  • Demonstrable familiarity with on-premises vendor product evaluations and recommendations., Knowledge of Cayuse systems, frameworks, and service delivery standards.
  • Prior experience with risk modeling and remediation for service proposals., Superior communication and presentation skills, with a proven history of stakeholder engagement.
  • Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.

  • Advanced degree (e.g., Master’s in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related discipline).

Working Conditions

  • Professional Hybrid office environment.
  • Ability to work on-site in Austin, TX.
  • Must be physically and mentally able to perform duties extended periods of time.
  • Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed to meet the demands of this position.
  • Must be able to establish a productive and professional workspace.
