SALARY:

$108,888- $155,563.20

 

The Senior Business Analyst, relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, independently performs a variety of complicated tasks, a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected, while serving as a liaison between the Business community and Customer IT Teams (i.e., Architecture, Project Delivery, Application Sustain, etc.).

 

This role will plan and accomplish goals to support business and technology initiatives. The selected candidate will act as a key liaison between the business community and IT teams, utilizing significant creativity and latitude to drive solutions that align with organizational objectives.

 

This position performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of Cayuse.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Digital Transformation: Spearhead and significantly contribute to large-scale digital transformation initiatives, identifying opportunities for innovation and designing future-state business capabilities that leverage emerging technologies to achieve strategic organizational goals.
  • Business Process Reengineering (BPR): Conduct comprehensive analysis of current-state business processes, identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and pain points, and design optimized, streamlined future-state processes. Lead efforts to implement reengineered processes, ensuring smooth transitions and measurable improvements in efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and service quality.
  • Strategic Business Modeling: Develop and maintain robust business architecture artifacts, including current and future state business process models (using BPMN), data models, capability models, value streams, and organizational models. Utilize various modeling tools and notations to effectively communicate complex business concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Requirements Definition: Collaborate extensively with senior leadership, business units, IT teams, and external partners to elicit, analyze, and validate complex business requirements. Translate strategic objectives and user needs into actionable business and functional specifications that guide solution development.
  • Bridge Business & IT: Act as a critical liaison, ensuring seamless communication and understanding between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams. Articulate business impacts of technical decisions and technical implications of business requirements.

Qualifications

Here’s What You Need

  • 12 yrs required: Progressive experience in a Business Architect role or similar strategic capacity, with a strong emphasis on enterprise-level initiatives.
  • 12 yrs required: Proven track record of successfully leading or significantly contributing to multiple large-scale digital transformation and business process reengineering projects. Demonstrated ability to drive measurable improvements in operational efficiency and service
  • 12 yrs required: Demonstrable expertise with MITA (Medicaid Information Technology Architecture), including practical application in complex system environments. Experience with MITA State Self-Assessments (SS-A) is highly desirable.
  • 10 yrs required: Exceptional business modeling skills, with expert proficiency in methodologies and tools such as Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN), Unified Modeling Language (UML), ArchiMate, and strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks like TO
  • 10 yrs required: Superior analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities, with a strong capacity to dissect complex issues and formulate pragmatic solutions.
  • 10 yrs required: Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and persuasively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.
  • 10 yrs required: Strong negotiation, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • 8 yrs required: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • 8 yrs required Demonstrated ability to work successfully with technical and non-technical groups on complex business problems, analyzing and evaluating current business methods and procedures for improvements including exhibiting strong oral and written communications
  • Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.

Minimum Skills:

  • Must possess problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to respond effectively to customers with a sense of urgency.
  • Proficient in Microsoft and Adobe toolsets, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Acrobat, etc.
  • Highly motivated with the ability to handle and manage multiple tasks at any one time.
  • Ability to forge new relationships, individual and teaming in nature.
  • Must be a Self-starter, that can work independently and as part of a team.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 yrs Preferred Strong preference for direct, hands-on experience with Health and Human Services (HHS) integrated eligibility systems (e.g., Medicaid, SNAP, TANF, CHIP). This includes a deep understanding of federal regulations, state-specific policy nuances, and the mod
  • 10 yrs Preferred Experience working within a government or public sector environment.
  • 10 yrs Preferred Relevant certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), TOGAF, BPMN, Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt.
  • 10 yrs Preferred Familiarity with Agile and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodologies.

Working Conditions

  • Professional hybrid office environment.
  • Ability to work on-site in Austin, TX.
