Overview

The Business Analyst is ultimately responsible and accountable for all business aspects (i.e. technical, operation, economical) of the requirements gathering, testing, and training phases of a project and ensures that the final deliverable of the software configuration and implementation meets the intended needs of the business. This person acts as the primary resource in the requirements phase of a project, and the primary business liaison in the design, development, configuration and testing phases of the project.

 

This position performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of Cayuse.

 

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary resource in the requirements phase of a project, and the primary business representative in the design and development phases of the project.
  • Test and deploy system enhancements, participate in upgrades, and support ERP systems
  • Act as a hands-on Project Manager for at least 1-2 teams
  • Responsible for the scheduling of workshops, meetings, training sessions and coordinating of applicable facility requests for all assigned software implementation efforts
  • Act as a liaison between the business and System Integrators and/or internal developers to configure applications based on best practices
  • Assist in implementation of modern ERP system
  • Works alongside leadership to craft the IT Strategy, Goals and respective Dashboards
  • Facilitates communication, change management for specific IT programs
  • Responsible for management, benchmarks and reporting for application modules use and adoption
  • Plan, manage and communicate releases, goals, schedules, dependencies, procedures and tasks
  • Assist in the management of development activities performed on-site and offshore
  • Other projects and assignments may result and be assigned to accommodate the changing needs of the department and the Company.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or relevant, equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Five (5) to eight (8) years of relevant experience.
  • Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility.
  • Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.

Minimum Skills:

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, schedules, and deadlines efficiently.
  • Excellent consulting skills and decision making/problem solving skills are required
  • Excellent communication skills for clearly and tactfully conveying project updates, issues, and decisions to stakeholders, with the ability to escalate issues when necessary.
  • Ability to facilitate discussions with cross-functional teams to drive a common understanding.
  • Ability to facilitate team and client meetings effectively while delivering engaging, informative, and well-organized presentations.
  • Experience with applying and general knowledge of various requirements gathering and analysis approaches, methodologies and models.
  • Ability to coach, mentor and train personnel within a technical organization.
  • Strong analytical and planning skills / experience with software development projects.
  • Strong technical acumen and ability to quickly learn new technological concepts.
  • Familiarity with ERP, SCM, CRM, financial or operational business applications deployment methodology, structure and processes.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Proficient in MS Office, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Working Conditions

  • Professional office environment.
  • Ability to work on-site in Washington, DC.
  • Must be physically and mentally able to perform duties extended periods of time.
  • Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed to meet the demands of this position.
  • Must be able to establish a productive and professional workspace.
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time looking at computer screen.
  • May be asked to work a flexible schedule which may include holidays.
  • May be asked to travel for business or professional development purposes.
  • May be asked to work hours outside of normal business hours.

Pay Range

USD $115,300.00 - USD $132,500.00 /Yr.
