Overview

The Work:

The Deputy Program Manager oversees and coordinates program activities under the guidance of the Program Manager to manage budgets, schedules, resources, while ensuring alignment with program objectives and quality standards.

This position performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of Cayuse.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Program Manager with multiple simultaneous projects; ensuring maximum effectiveness in the use of strategies and resources for the timely completion of all assigned contractual responsibilities on time, on budget and while meeting or exceeding client expectations.
  • Work closely with the Program Manager to coordinate project activities and ensure alignment with program goals.
  • Monitor program progress, quality, and adherence to project plans.
  • Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams to execute project plans.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to project managers and technical staff.
  • Act as a liaison between different teams, departments, and stakeholders.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop contingency plans.
  • Ensure quality standards and procedures are implemented and enforced.
  • Create and maintain project schedules and reports.
  • Facilitate effective communication among stakeholders.
  • Serve as the designated alternate to the Program Manager.
  • Act in the Program Manager's absence to ensure program continuity.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications – Here’s What You Need:

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum of 2 years of large contract and program level experience in Federal Government client environments.
  • Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.

Minimum Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to interact effectively with all levels throughout Company organization.
  • Shall have the requisite skills, expertise, and experience to perform the requirements of each task.
  • Must be extremely detail-oriented and well organized.
  • Proficient skills using Microsoft and Google Suite Products (Word, Excel, Power Point) and be able to learn new software as the situation dictates.
  • Demonstrated capability to manage multi-task programs/projects, multi-task contracts and/or subcontracts of various types and complexity.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of government regulations.
  • Willing to travel for short term assignments.
  • Excellent business acumen and industry acumen
  • Ability to forge new relationships, individual and teaming in nature.

Desired Qualifications:

  • PMP certification

Reports to: Program Manager

 

Working Conditions:

  • Professional office environment.
  • Ability to work on-site at Sheppard Air Force base, Wichita Falls, TX.
  • Must be physically and mentally able to perform duties extended periods of time.
  • Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed to meet the demands of this position.
  • Must be able to establish a productive and professional workspace.
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time looking at computer screen.
  • May be asked to work a flexible schedule which may include holidays.
  • May be asked to travel for business or professional development purposes.
  • May be asked to work hours outside of normal business hours.

Pay Range

USD $100,000.00 - USD $110,000.00 /Yr.
