$117,260.27- $167,514.67

 

The Software Engineer III - UI Developer is responsible for the design, development, enhancement, and maintenance of front-end user interfaces for enterprise applications. The role focuses on creating robust, scalable, and accessible UI applications that align with best practices and standards, ensuring seamless integration with back-end systems. Key focus areas include delivering responsive and user-centric designs, implementing accessibility compliance, collaborating within Agile teams, and optimizing performance for enterprise-scale applications.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain front-end user interfaces for enterprise applications.
  • Implement ADA/Accessibility compliance standards for UI designs to ensure inclusivity for all users.
  • Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Follow Agile development principles, contributing to iterative planning sessions, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Debug, optimize, and update front-end UI elements to enhance performance, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Integrate responsive design best practices to create consistent user experiences across devices and platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including back-end developers, UX designers, and QA teams, to deliver high-quality software.
  • Perform system troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolve production issues efficiently to maintain application reliability.
  • Create and update artifacts such as technical specifications, design documents, and user manuals to support team and client understanding of projects.
  • Conduct performance tests on developed UI components and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Contribute to the continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipeline by supporting automation scripts related to front-end deployments.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Here’s What You Need

  • 8 years Hands-on experience in software and database engineering for law enforcement state agencies software solutions and application support.
  • 8 years required hands-on experience with DPS License to Carry system
  • Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.

Reports to: Program Manager

 

Working Conditions

  • Professional hybrid office environment.
  • Ability to work on-site in Austin, Texas
  • Normal business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Must be physically and mentally able to perform duties extended periods of time.
  • Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed to meet the demands of this position.
  • Must be able to establish a productive and professional workspace.
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time looking at computer screen.
  • May be asked to work a flexible schedule which may include holidays.
  • May be asked to travel for business or professional development purposes.
  • May be asked to work hours outside of normal business hours.
