Overview

The Quality Manager is responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and reporting on quality discrepancies associated with calibration, environmental monitoring, and material analysis systems. This role ensures that testing methods and controls effectively verify the quality of finished products while maintaining compliance with company standards and applicable government regulations. The Quality Manager is also tasked with developing solutions to moderately complex problems, leveraging established policies and practices for guidance.

 

This position plays a vital role in maintaining a controlled analytical environment to ensure the consistent generation of accurate data that meets or exceeds customer quality objectives. The quality program encompasses all laboratory operations and adheres to specific procedures and guidelines designed to regulate activities influencing data quality and achieve defined Data Quality Objectives (DQOs).

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the QMS.
  • Organize all laboratory audits and respond to any deficiencies.
  • Coordinate analyses and compile data packages for all performance evaluation (PE) samples received by the laboratory.  Provide corrective action statements to agencies or clients in regard to PE samples.
  • Manage the internal audit program.
  • Gain and maintain ISO 9001/AS9100 lead auditor certification.
  • Monitor laboratory activities to verify conformance with established laboratory SOPs.
  • Maintain records of Performance evaluation samples (PETs), audits, state certification programs.
  • Help establish control charts (pareto) and evaluate data quality for laboratory processes.
  • Review all Standard Operating Procedures and or technical documentation and track them through the signature loop.
  • Monitor end of life cycle for procedures and technical documentation stored in the client’s repository.
  • Assist with the development of quality control manuals and procedures, and participate in the development of new methods, procedures, and systems.
  • Investigate problems and develop disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies.
  • Recommend corrective actions, dispositions and modifications.
  • Support and initiates quality program to support laboratory work efforts, aligning company quality standards with the client, and other government guidelines.
  • Reviews, analyzes, and reports on quality discrepancies related to assembly, process, mechanical, electrical and electro-mechanical systems.
  • Provides final acceptance and inspection activities on services provided by the laboratories.
  • Provide KPIs for the QMS.
  • Analyze and monitor KPIs to ensure QMS is meeting the intended goals.
  • Ensure Routine Use of Quality Control (QC) Check Samples.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science or equivalent experience/combined education.
  • 5 years direct professional experience.
  • Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
  • Proficient in MS Office, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree.
  • 1 year of direct professional experience.

Pay Range

USD $94,554.00 - USD $94,554.00 /Yr.
