Overview

Employment in this role is conditional upon successful execution of the contract by the client.

 

The Work:

The Program Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the client’s programs by analyzing, evaluating, and improving operational processes and program efficiency. This position involves working closely with stakeholders, program managers, and multidisciplinary teams to assess program performance, ensure compliance with client’s regulations, and recommend data-driven solutions aligned with organizational goals. The Program Analyst provides expertise in program planning, resource allocation, performance metrics, and reporting, enabling agencies to achieve their objectives effectively and efficiently.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintains an understanding of the major issues, current and long-term, which are being pursued by the office.
  • Maintains liaison with the front offices and bureau offices as necessary to ensure that deadlines are met. 
  • Coordinates internally to track and monitor correspondence within the bureau. 
  • Ensures the quality and timeliness of written products drafted within the bureau by providing guidance, enforcing deadlines, and reviewing for format, style, coherence, accuracy, content, and clearances. 
  • Make necessary corrections or return documents to originator for changes.
  • Advises personnel of overdue action items, upcoming deadlines, priority of issues, format and procedures for processing documentation.
  • Responds to inquiries from both within and outside of the office concerning the status, location, subject matter, and deadlines of documents and taskers.
  • Determines the feasibility of meeting deadlines on specific documents and notifies originator if an extension is required and takes action to avoid, minimize, or eliminate these problems in the short and long-term.
  • Develop management plans, procedures, and methodologies to assist management in operating more efficiently and effectively and monitor compliance as appropriate.
  • Coordinate short-fused actions and briefings and responses to data calls.
  • Develop creative techniques that will best utilize time in monitoring program funding.
  • Perform management and program support work, such as planning, research, analysis, correspondence control, communication, and/or liaison responsibilities.
  • Perform duties as an alternate Unit Security Officer in accordance with Department Policy and Regulations under the direction of the client.
  • Manage office SharePoint site and updating staff directory and organizational chart.
  • Ensure office shared files are organized, recommending new ways to manage information as appropriate, and include all relevant current and historical files.
  • Serve as backup on maintaining inventory and procurement of office supplies and TATEL.
  • Other Duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications – Here’s What You Need:

  • A minimum of seven (7) year’s of experience.
  • Knowledge of Department of State applications is desired.
  • Secret Clerance is required.
  • Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.

Minimum Skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, including follow-up on pending tasks.
  • Interpersonal skills and organizational skills with an ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.
  • Proficient in MS Office, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Reports to: Program Manager

 

Working Conditions:

  • Professional office environment, with the ability to work onsite in the main office.
  • Must be physically and mentally able to perform duties extended periods of time.
  • Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed to meet the demands of this position.
  • Must be able to establish a productive and professional workspace.
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time looking at computer screen.
  • May be asked to work a flexible schedule which may include holidays.
  • May be asked to travel for business or professional development purposes.
  • May be asked to work hours outside of normal business hours.

Pay Range

USD $40.00 - USD $45.67 /Hr.
