JOB TITLE: Mission Trainer, Senior
LOCATION Fort Belvoir, VA
SALARY: $118,000-$155,000 (Compensation is dependent upon qualifications and experience)
EMPLOYEE TYPE: Full-Time Salary Exempt

 

Employment in this role is conditional upon successful execution of the contract by the client.

 

The Work

The Mission Trainer is responsible for developing, maintaining, and delivering high-quality training materials that advance intelligence goals, objectives, tradecraft, and standards. This position ensures the alignment of educational content with current policy, doctrine, and mission requirements, supports curriculum management within designated educational systems, and upholds diligent training recordkeeping for compliance and accountability.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and deliver training materials that support the achievement of intelligence goals, objectives, tradecraft, and standards.
  • Design and provide lesson plans, presentations, and curricula aligned with organizational educational goals and objectives.
  • Maintain and update training materials and curricula within designated educational systems (e.g., AGILE, Training Development Capability [TDC], or other Government-specified systems).
  • Review emerging policy and doctrine publications for relevance; provide feedback and assess the incorporation of new guidance into training products.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive training records, documentation, and tracking systems as required or designated by the client.
  • Ensure all training materials and educational programs remain current, effective, and compliant with client standards and directives.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to align training content with operational requirements and evolving intelligence practices.
  • Participate in periodic curriculum reviews and implement improvements based on feedback, assessments, and changes in mission needs.
  • Provide support to learners and training participants as required, addressing questions and facilitating achievement of learning objectives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 5 years demonstrated experience conducting training at the U.S. in multiple geographic locations.
  • Demonstrated experience drafting and formulating training materials or curriculum IAW TRADOC and Army standards.
  • Demonstrated experience instructing and conducting training for military audiences.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance with ability to obtain CI polygraph.
  • Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.

  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high-level attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast past environment with changing priorities; adaptable to change and a quick learner.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work well independently as well as on a multi-functional team.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
  • Proficient in MS Office, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an area related to the labor category from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
  • Associates degree with 7 years’ experience in an intelligence discipline OR High School Diploma with 9 years’ experience in an intelligence discipline

Working Conditions

  • Professional  office environment.
  • Must be physically and mentally able to perform duties extended periods of time.
  • Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed to meet the demands of this position.
  • Must be able to establish a productive and professional workspace.
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time looking at computer screen.
