Overview

Job Title: Project Manager (Planview experience required)
Location: Phoenix, AZ - 1 week remote/1 week onsite
Type: Independent Contract - Corp to Corp/1099
Start Date: ASAP

Pay Rate:  $75-80/hr (Independent Contract)

Contract Length:  6 months - Potentially Renewable

Travel:  If located outside of Phoenix there will be 50% travel required

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in delivering projects using Planview as the primary execution and tracking tool. This role is focused on driving disciplined project delivery through detailed work planning, proactive risk management, and consistent stakeholder communication. The ideal candidate has direct experience managing project plans, dependencies, milestones, and RAID within Planview and is comfortable operating in a structured, governance‑driven environment.

This Project Manager will be responsible for owning project execution from initiation through close‑out, ensuring delivery aligns with scope, schedule, and business objectives.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, maintain, and manage detailed project workplans within Planview, including tasks, milestones, dependencies, and timelines
  • Actively manage projects against approved plans, ensuring delivery stays on schedule and within scope
  • Track and maintain RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) and proactively drive mitigation and resolution plans
  • Partner with cross‑functional teams to align on deliverables, priorities, and execution timelines
  • Provide regular status reporting, including progress updates, risks, issues, and key decisions
  • Manage project governance activities, including phase gate reviews, approvals, and documentation
  • Ensure all project artifacts are properly documented and maintained per established standards
  • Identify and manage project interdependencies across teams and initiatives
  • Support change management by assessing impacts to scope, schedule, and resources
  • Escalate issues appropriately and drive accountability to resolution

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager delivering complex initiatives
  • Hands‑on experience using Planview for project execution, tracking, and reporting (required)
  • Strong experience creating and managing:
    • Project workplans
    • Milestones and dependencies
    • RAID logs
  • Excellent organizational and time‑management skills
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present status and risks to stakeholders clearly
  • Experience working with cross‑functional business and IT teams
  • Comfort operating in structured or enterprise project environments

Preferred Experience

  • Experience managing multiple workstreams or interrelated projects
  • Familiarity with governance frameworks and project controls
  • Experience in large enterprise or regulated environments
  • Agile or hybrid delivery experience a plus

Pay Range

USD $75.00 - USD $80.00 /Hr.
