Qualifications – Here’s What You Need
The qualifications and skills listed below are intended to provide a general overview of the requirements for this position. Additional qualifications, certifications, skills, or experience specific to the client’s requirements may be identified and requested upon award of the task order. Candidates should demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to adapt to evolving responsibilities as outlined by the client.
- An associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree preferred; together with five (5) years’ experience in administrative or program management in a federal agency or an organization providing security and/or law enforcement services or training
- Minimum three (3) years of instructor experience, plus three (3) years of field experience in DSTC subject matter areas of instruction
- Knowledge of adult learning principles, course development, classroom and practical instructional presentation methods and methods for evaluating training effectiveness
- Intermediate knowledge of and experience with administrative and/or program management functions
- Knowledge of State Department administrative management, international politics, or law enforcement, travel coordination and events preparation preferred
- Completion of a recognized instructor development training course preferred
- Must hold a valid driver’s license and be willing and able to drive official US Government vehicles up to and including 16 passenger vans
- Secret Clearnce is required.
- Due to the nature of work at the client’s site, U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.
Minimum Skills:
- Must have effective interpersonal skills for interacting with various subject matter experts and officials at all levels, and for exchanging information and coordinating work with others within and outside DSTC
- Must be highly organized with good oral and written communication skills (in order to prepare formal correspondence and various reports, and present training to a variety of audiences)
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-reacting, adaptive workplace where flexibility and self-initiative are expected

Working Conditions
- Ability to work in unpleasant or adverse environmental conditions, such as extreme hot and cold
- Ability to work effectively in an environment that consists of numerous personnel and use of pyrotechnics
- Must be physically and mentally able to perform duties extended periods of time.
- Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed to meet the demands of this position.
