- 4–7 years of experience in the database administration, data warehousing, or a closely related information systems field.
- Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the database and data warehouse management discipline.
- Demonstrated ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals with limited supervision.
- Proven capacity to exercise creativity, initiative, and independent judgment in solving complex technical problems and optimizing database environments.
- Ability to maintain security and integrity of critical infrastructure systems by preventing unauthorized access and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations related to national security and foreign ownership restrictions.
- Required (5+ Years):
- Strong knowledge of database management systems (DBMS), as well as data warehouse management and decision support tools.
- Extensive experience in the development, implementation, and maintenance of data warehouses and data marts.
- Experience with business intelligence/analytics tools (e.g., Business Objects) and building and maintaining the data dictionary.
- Demonstrated ability to use database access tools to support application delivery and reporting.
- Strong familiarity with analysis, planning, and management reporting functions.
- Well-developed oral and written communications skills.
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
- Extremely high level of analytical ability to address very unusual and extremely difficult technical problems.
- Understanding of benchmarking processes and techniques for database and data warehouse environments.
- Very high level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others, motivate teams, and elicit high-quality work output.
- Experience with data warehousing data population and data modeling techniques for target structures such as:
- Star Schemas
- Snowflake Schemas
- Highly normalized data models
- Hands-on experience with GUI-based ETL tools such as:
- Informatica
- IBM WebSphere DataStage
- Or similar enterprise ETL tools
- Implementation experience with enterprise-class databases, such as:
- Teradata
- Oracle
- Microsoft SQL Server
- Or similar technologies
- Implementation experience with analytical and reporting tools, such as:
- Business Objects
- Cognos
- Hyperion
- MicroStrategy
- Or similar tools
- Experience with the complete data warehouse implementation process, including:
- Business requirements analysis
- Logical data modeling
- Physical database design
- Data sourcing and data transformation
- Data loading and ETL processes
- Structured Query Language (SQL) development and optimization
- End-user tools and reporting/analytics
- Database and SQL performance tuning
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, team collaboration, and oral and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to work successfully with both technical and non-technical groups and to manage multiple responsibilities and priorities simultaneously.
- Experience in computer systems analysis or computer programming work related to databases and data warehouses.
- Knowledge of:
- Principles, practices, and techniques of computer programming and systems design
- Computer operations, systems, and procedures
- Project control and cost estimating techniques
- Computer programming languages commonly used with databases and data warehouses
- Data processing flowcharting techniques
- Database structures and theories
- Current database technologies and trends
- Working knowledge of EIR Accessibility standards and assistive technologies.
- Ability to ensure that database administration and data input/output user interfaces meet accessibility requirements.
- Experience providing support to users when EIR Accessibility issues arise, including troubleshooting data access and reporting accessibility problems.
- Familiarity with security principles, controls, and compliance requirements relevant to critical infrastructure and national security.
- Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.

Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience with Oracle Database administration and development.
- 5+ years of experience creating reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
- 1+ year of experience with M204 database environments.
