The Work
The Lead Enterprise Architect is a senior-level technical leader responsible for defining and governing the long‑term vision, strategy, and architecture of a large‑scale ERP program (e.g., CAPPS) and its associated platforms. This role provides highly advanced consultative services and technical assistance, ensuring that systems, data, and platforms align with State of Texas business objectives, technical realities, and industry best practices.
The Lead Enterprise Architect partners closely with managed services providers, product leadership, security teams, and business stakeholders to translate strategic business objectives into actionable technical roadmaps. The role provides architectural leadership for digital transformation, modernization, and cloud initiatives; ensures adherence to security and accessibility standards; and supports contract management, procurement, and audit activities.
