Qualifications – Here’s What You Need:
- 4-Year Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, OR Equivalent Experience.
- 8+ years of professional experience in Jira development, scripting, and integration.
- Proficiency in Groovy (ScriptRunner) and Java for advanced scripting and development.
- Hands-on experience with REST API development and handling JSON data structures.
- Deep technical knowledge of Jira workflows, Jira Assets (formerly Insight), ITSM processes, and Jira’s configuration ecosystem.
- Experience with both Jira Data Center and Jira Cloud patterns, including migrations and cross-platform development.
- Advanced skills in JQL (Jira Query Language) for effective search queries and scripted logic.
- Solid expertise in writing and optimizing SQL queries for database interactions, reporting, and system analysis.
- Proven capability to build reusable object models and automation rules to support key operational processes.
- Strong debugging skills for troubleshooting custom scripts, workflow logic, integrations, and database issues.
- Experience optimizing system performance within complex environments.
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance.
- Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.
